Privacy policy

What digiWatcher stores about you, why it needs it, how long it keeps it, and who it shares it with.

Version 2026-10-10 · provider Ondřej Němec

A short summary of the privacy policy. It doesn’t replace it; the full binding text is in Czech.

  • For your own data as a digiWatcher (formerly Hlídač) user, the controller is the provider named in the Czech policy. For data you enter about your clients, digiWatcher is only the processor.
  • We process only what the app actually stores: username and email, a password hash, the two-factor authentication secret (only if you turn it on), last login time, account and billing details, payment records, alert contacts, and a record of sent alerts.
  • We don’t track your behavior in the app, don’t profile you, don’t make automated decisions about you, and don’t sell your data.
  • digiWatcher uses only technical cookies needed for the features you use. No analytics or advertising code.
  • We share data only with those the service can’t work without: server hosting in the EU (Hostinger), email delivery (Resend, USA), a second monitoring location in Sofia (AlphaVPS), payment gateways when you pay through them, Google PageSpeed Insights only for websites where you turn on speed measurement, and the alert channels you set up.
  • Check records are kept for 14 days and the record of sent alerts for 180 days. Account data is deleted within 30 days after the account ends (for a prepaid account, after the end of the paid period), accounting documents are kept for 10 years, and deleted data lasts longer in database backups.
  • You have the right to access and correction, to erasure if the reason for holding the data no longer applies, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability, and you can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection. You can download your data export yourself in Settings.
  • Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored only as a hash, and accounts are separated. If a breach posed a risk to you, we would let you know and report it to the authority within 72 hours.
  • We announce material changes by email or in the app and ask you to agree to the terms again.
