Terms of service

What digiWatcher does, what it costs, and above all what it doesn’t promise. Written to be readable.

Version 2026-10-10 · provider Ondřej Němec

A short summary of the main points of the terms of service. It doesn’t replace them; the full binding text is in Czech.

  • digiWatcher (formerly Hlídač) is operated by the provider named in the Czech terms. It monitors the availability of websites and servers, response time, speed, certificates, and domains, and for WordPress sites also the status of updates and backups, and sends alerts.
  • The account is yours and you are responsible for what happens under it. Only add websites that you manage or that you have consent to monitor.
  • Plan prices are listed in the app under Subscription and are paid in advance. If you cancel early, the paid period isn’t refunded pro rata; the service runs until it ends.
  • If the price list offers it, a new account gets a free trial after verifying its email, without a payment card. Nothing is charged automatically at the end; the account moves to the free plan. Whatever that plan doesn’t include, digiWatcher stops checking or performing, but no data is deleted.
  • If a payment for a paid subscription doesn’t arrive, you get a seven-day grace period. Then monitoring stops, but your data isn’t deleted.
  • If you are a consumer concluding the contract at a distance, you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason; if you have already used the service, a proportional amount may be charged.
  • digiWatcher doesn’t promise to catch every outage: it checks at the interval of your plan, and alerts depend on third-party services. It is a warning light, not an insurance policy, and doesn’t replace your own backups.
  • Liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the last twelve months, except for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence and harm to health, where the law doesn’t recognize the limitation.
  • You can cancel your account at any time; it runs until the end of the paid period. Data is then deleted within 30 days, and later from database backups; download an export beforehand if you need it. We can cancel your account if you breach these terms, harm us or anyone else through the service, or don’t pay even after the grace period; for a breach that can be remedied, we first warn you and give you time to fix it.
  • We announce material changes at least 30 days in advance. If you don’t agree, you can cancel your account before the change takes effect and we refund the proportional part of the subscription for the unused period. The relationship is governed by Czech law; consumers can contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority.
