A monthly report for your client
Clients pay for website care, but they don’t see most of the work. A report for the chosen period shows them how the site ran, what happened, and what you did for them, with your agency’s name at the top. Automatically every month, or manually whenever you need one.
What the report contains
At the top are the period, the number of monitored websites, and a summary: uptime, number of outages, total downtime, average response time, updates carried out, and known vulnerabilities. Below that come the individual websites and a list of outages with start time and duration. The report can also include:
- Changes and documented care: records you have shared with the client.
- WordPress care for websites with the agent connected: updates carried out from digiWatcher that passed verification of the site afterwards, and changes the agent found during its regular check. Every update is listed individually in the appendix.
- Speed for websites with speed checks: the Google PageSpeed Insights score at the start and end of the period, and field data from real visitors when Google has it.
Numbers that don’t flatter
Percentages are based on the checks that actually ran. When checks are missing for part of the period, the report says so and doesn’t present days without data as confirmed uptime. The same goes for care records: “no care records were shared” doesn’t mean no work was done. The name at the top is yours; digiWatcher appears in one line at the bottom as the source of the measurements.
Automatic sending every month
The Owner sets up a schedule under Reports → Automatic monthly reports. You fill in the Client field on your websites, enter the agency name, the client, and one email address, and pick the websites. The schedule is saved turned off; first you create a preview, which sends nothing, and only after checking it do you turn on monthly sending.
The email goes out on the first day of the month at 9:00 Prague time (Europe/Prague) for the previous full month. The client gets an email with a link to the stored report and doesn’t have to log in anywhere. The report page has a Print or save as PDF button; the PDF is saved in the browser, and the email has no attachment.
- A sent report is an archive: changing or deleting a website later doesn’t change its content.
- You can revoke the link at any time. An email that has arrived can’t be recalled, but its link stops working.
- The history shows the last 50 runs with their result. A temporary failure is retried.
- An account can have up to 25 schedules, for example one per client.
Automatic monthly reports are only available on paid plans, because they are emailed to the client’s address. During the free trial and on the Free plan you can’t create a schedule, but you can use manual reports and share links at any time.
A manual report at any time
You can also create a report manually for any period of up to a year: on the Reports page you choose the period, check uptime and incidents, and create a share link for the client. For your own analysis you can download a CSV. Operators can create manual links too, not just the Owner, and it works on every plan.
Only give the share link to the intended recipient; when it should no longer work, revoke it. Details are in the manual chapter on clients and reports.
A read-only client portal
A client who wants more than a monthly email gets access to the client portal. It shows only the websites you select for them, their uptime over the last 24 hours, shared care records from the last thirty days, and a report for a period the client chooses. They can’t change anything and have no access to your admin area.
The client sets their own password through a one-time link, so nobody on your team knows it. Client logins don’t count as plan users. digiWatcher emails portal invitations and password resets only on a paid plan; during the trial you pass the link to the client yourself, and the number of client logins is limited until then.
What it costs
Reports and the client portal aren’t a per-site add-on. Start is €12 a month for 10 websites, Profi €32 for 30 websites, and Agency €66 for 100 websites. Paid plans allow up to 200 client logins.
Frequently asked questions
Does digiWatcher send the report as a PDF attachment?
No. The email contains a link to the stored report. Its page has a Print or save as PDF button, so you or the client save the PDF in the browser.
Does the client have to log in to see the report?
Not for the report from the email; the link works without logging in. Only the client portal requires a login, and there the client can prepare a report for their own period.
Does automatic sending work during the free trial?
No. Automatic monthly reports can only be set up after you pay for a plan. During the trial you create a manual report and pass the share link to the client yourself.
Does a sent report change if I edit or delete a website later?
No. An automatic report is an archive of the figures and outages at the time it was created. Older manual links, by contrast, are recalculated continuously, and the list marks them differently.
What if checks are missing for part of the month?
The report says so. It doesn’t present days without data as confirmed uptime, and it shows check coverage for each website.
